Workbench notes: first light of spring
Sketches, kiln tests, and small rituals from the first bright mornings in the studio.
With the windows cracked to let the sea air in, the studio finally feels alive again. The first batch of breakfast bowls survived their glaze firing—those gentle sea-salt gradients are exactly the softness I was hoping for.
I'm also testing a new satin finish on the shoreline bangles. Hammering with the blinds open meant the morning light caught every ridge. A quiet reminder that the smallest changes in rhythm can shift a piece entirely.
