Meet the Maker

Hello, I’m Heidi. From my small Cornish home and workshop I shape jewellery, homeware, and art that feel soft, lived-in, and full of story — made to bring calm rituals into everyday life.

Rooted in family craft, inspired by Cornwall’s nature

My creative story began around kitchen tables piled high with paints, cardboard, makeshift glue, and the gentle encouragement of family who believed in making things by hand. That joy in experimentation and the comfort of a cuppa going cold beside me - still fills the studio today.

The coastline, a stone’s throw away, offers endless inspiration. Weathered stones, tangled hedgerows, and calm tidal pools influence the textures, palettes, and quiet curves I return to again and again.

Every piece becomes a small ritual: sketching, shaping, firing, polishing—moving slowly and letting imperfections add warmth. I want my work to feel like a deep breath, a reminder of home, and something to treasure for years.

What guides every piece

Slow Craft

Pieces are made in small batches, shaped by hand at my bench or table - always with patience and care.

Tactile Textures

Silver, Jesmonite, and paint are worked for their textures - smooth, rough, or softly coloured - each carrying its own character.

Story - First

Every object begins with a place, a memory, or a person in mind — made to hold meaning and to feel at home in everyday life.

Curious Making

I experiment often — mixing materials, testing finishes, and following ideas wherever they lead — while staying rooted in simple, traditional techniques.

A timeline of handmade moments

Glimpses from the journey that shaped my practice.

  • 2002

    First Spark

Afternoons spent crafting with family — flour glue, paint on the dining table, and endless DIY projects that made creativity feel like home.

  • 2015

    Bench of her own

Apprenticeship in jewellery manufacture. My first bench was built by my stepdad from an old kitchen worktop — a sentimental space that’s followed me from a garage corner, to an old stable block, to bedrooms in two houses, and now to my garden workshop.

  • 2021

    Cornish garden workshop

Built with my brother, just 15 minutes from the coast and surrounded by Cornish nature — a place to make slowly, with the landscape and rhythms of home as daily inspiration.

  • 2025

    Still at the bench

Still at the bench, still experimenting — but now with a clearer voice. Jewellery, art, and homeware are growing side by side, each piece carrying the threads of family, place, and care. This year also saw the launch of my website, built by my partner Nathan — another piece of creativity and support woven into the journey.
